Bread Cases

An easier and healthier alternative to pastry cases.

Method

Remove the crusts from the bread and spread slices lightly with margarine.
Cut each slice in half diagonally and place greased side down into muffin trays.
Bake at 200˚C for 5 minutes.
Place a spoonful of the chosen filling (e.g. Vegetable Medley) into each bread case and bake at 200˚C for a further 8-10 minutes or until the filling has set.

Variations

Great when filled with Vegetable Medley filling.

  • 5 thin slices wholemeal bread
  • 1-2 Tbsp margarine
